RK1-720A Pressure Vacuum Breaker Repair Kit for 1/2 3/4 and 1 - Easy to Replace

The 720A series pressure vacuum breaker assembly is designed for installation on potable water lines, protecting against back-siphonage of contaminated water into the potable water supply. This repair kit, compatible with 1/2-inch, 3/4-inch, and 1-inch 720A series pressure vacuum breakers, is made of stainless steel, rubber, and plastic for wear resistance and long service life.

The kit includes a plastic washer, O-ring, spring, poppet assembly, and spider assembly, making it suitable for repairing most freeze-damaged 720A PVB's, unless the ball valves or body itself is cracked. This repair kit provides a reliable solution for maintenance and repair needs of 720A pressure vacuum circuit breakers, also known as a backflow preventer.

To install the repair kit, follow these steps:

1. Shut off power to the valve.
2. Remove the 3 screws from the canopy and set them aside.
3. Remove the canopy and unscrew the brass bonnet.
4. Remove the Disc & Poppet Assembly and the washer & old O-Ring.
5. Remove the Spring & Spider Assembly.
6. Use a cloth to wick up any water and inspect the valve for any damage.
7. Install the Spider Valve, Spring, O-Ring, Disc & Poppet Assembly, and plastic washer.
8. Thread the bonnet and ensure the shaft of the disc & poppet assembly is centered within the bonnet.
9. Hand-tighten the bonnet.
10. Install the Canopy and the 3 screws. Tighten all 3 once they are in place.
